The Cookery Experience

Cross the bridge, and you will be struck by the beauty of the architecture, the romance of the gardens, the mind blowing sunsets over the Serein valley, all enhanced by the most delectably prepared quality local and kitchen garden produce, plus a delicious apéritif of home-made Kir Ducale and gougères. Et ce n’est que le début! 


The team..

Chef Katherine Frelon is absolutely lovely and incredibly talented, with many years’ experience working in France and England. She will expand your culinary skills with her gastronomic flair and extensive knowledge of our much loved Burgundian cuisine. 

The châtelains will spill the secrets of château life and share the pleasures of eating and drinking in a sophisticated, yet fun atmosphere. Your taste buds will be tantalised by the dishes you will learn to cook with our guest chef, Jean Berteau. Trained locally (under Michelin*** chef Alexandre Dumaine), he will teach you some of the Burgundy Greats, turning you into a veritable ‘toque’ for an afternoon or two!
 

The Experience..

Is created in partnership with Katherine Frelon, and comprises wine tastings, visits to nearby towns, tea and patisseries, dinners out, rest and games at the château, in addition to the Burgundian and French cookery classes with our fantastic chefs, bien sûr! This 6 day cookery experience includes: accommodation, apéritifs and all meals at the château; some wines; and, all ingredients for the classes. Plus a goodie bag on departure.
